Based on years of successful implementation at multiple universities, Unique Advantage establishes for each client a Workforce Development Program to recruit, hire and train from within disadvantaged neighborhoods of local communities and other areas surrounding our academic clients. The Unique Advantage recruiting and management team formally provides community liaison representatives who work closely with community/civic organizations, business groups, churches, technology centers, educational institutions, cultural centers, local media, government agencies and client universities to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of the Unique Advantage Community Work Force Development Program.
Virginia Butler carries over 20 years of experience working with and in community outreach and management. Throughout her career, she has built and implemented man policies and programs including Affirmative Action, ADA Compliance, and Veteran hiring and continues to drive corporate responsibility initiatives. As the Human Resources and Community Outreach Manager at Unique Advantage, she has built strong ties in West and South-West Philadelphia neighborhoods and community centers. She has delivered career counseling, training programs, and workshops for thousands of community members, resulting in millions of dollars of wages that have been retained in the West Philadelphia communities, one of Unique Advantage's specific focus cities.
Larry has spent more than 20 years in sales, sales management and executive management roles all within the Staffing and Workforce Management industry. He has successfully built a multi-million dollar region through growth and expansion efforts, centered on opening new vertical markets, geographies and launching new service lines and product offerings. Throughout his career, Larry’s personal performance, professionalism and leadership have been highlighted through the success of the organizations he has led.
